SerialRUN is source available under the Business Source License 1.1.
The Business Source License 1.1 (BSL 1.1) is a "source available" license created by MariaDB. It allows you to view, use, and modify the source code, but restricts commercial use for a specified period. After the change date, the license automatically converts to a permissive open source license (MIT).

On the change date, all SerialRUN source code automatically converts to the MIT license. After that, you can use, modify, and distribute the code for any purpose, including commercial use.
4 years from initial publication. SerialRUN v0.1.0 was published on May 31, 2026. The code will convert to MIT on or after May 31, 2030.
